WAVE electro+ is administered:
-In condition of excessive fluid loss due to either exercise or intense work
-In heat and high environmental temperatures
* In these cases the dosage is determined as needed
Electrolytes and their role
- Electrolytes are element and salt ions that are electrically charged, positively or negatively
- Ensure the maintainance of the acid-base balance of the body and the communication among human cells
- They are dissolved in our body fluids, such as blood, cytoplasm, interstitial cell fluid
In our body exist several electrolytes and the following ones are the most important:
Cations:
- Sodium (Na+)
- Potassium (K+)
- Calcium (Ca2+)
- Magnesium (Mg2+)
Anions:
- Chlorine (Cl-)
- Bicarbonate (HCO3-)
- Phosphate (PO42-)
- Sulphate (SO42-)
- Electrolytes are significantly useful for the proper cellular function and for the communication among the human cells
- They regulate the electrical potential stability between the external and the internal of the cell membrane, and by changing their concentrations they create electrical stimuli facilitating the transmittal of cell-to-cell impulse. This is the way, in which either the nerve cells are stimulated or the heart muscles contraction
- Concentrations of ions in our body remain stable despite the changes and this is achieved mainly through the kidneys. The kidneys excrete the excess of electrolytes via the urine and when there is a deficiency, resorb them to circulation
Maintaining the balance of electrolytes in the human body is important because they regulate the distribution of water in the body, affect the pΗ of the blood and contribute to neuromuscular stimulation.
- Regarding healthy people, the human body can properly maintain the balance of fluids
- If you are adequately hydrated and eat normally, your electrolyte levels are probably normal
- For the vast majority of people, proper nutrition is the best source of electrolytes
- THERE ARE, HOWEVER, SOME EXCEPTIONS. Electrolytes are lost through sweat, so if you do some physical activity or exercise for prolonged periods of time (one hour or more), or you are in a hot or humid climate, you may need more effort to refresh your electrolyte supplies
- Otherwise, there is a risk of dehydration with electrolyte imbalance, which not only makes it difficult for the body to function properly, but can also cause dizziness and fainting. The same can happen if you suffer from vomiting or diarrhea, as these unpleasant conditions also cause fluid and electrolyte loss
Why WAVE electro+; How is it ensured;
WAVE electro+ consists of :
- Sodium chloride
- Potassium chloride
- Dextrose anhydrous,
- Sodium Sacharrine,
- flavor blueberry
WAVE electro+ consists of ( total amount of ions - mEq/sachet):
- Na+ 7,8
- K+ 3,4
- Cl¯ 7,6
- Citrate 3,5
- Glucose anhydrous 22,9
- Energy 16,0 Κcal
The composition of WAVE electro+ is specially designed to:
- Replenish the losses of our functional ions directly, in quantities that will not lead to undesirable effects
- Help the patient, the athlete, the person undergoing heavy physical activity, any person who, due to heat, suffers from excessive loss of sweat and generally the user who receives it due to intense fluid loss, avoiding the taste of intense salinity. This ensures avoiding vomits, that the hyper-salinity induces
- Especially small children, receive extra protection, which is ideal for them as well
- Avoid taking excessive amounts of liquids (the sachet powder dissolves in 200 ml of water and even smaller amount may be enough)
- Avoid taking excessive amounts of calories (16.0 Kcal / sachet). This is important for people who need energy and stimulation during exercise, but not excessive energy load, since many exercise to reduce body weight.
**EXERCISE: 2 WAVE electro+ sachets per 1 liter of water during exercise
- Enjoy WAVE electro+ as it has Blueberry flavour
